A pile four feet high sits atop my wooden desk
Work taunts me
Work consumes every corner of my life
I dream of work
Even in my waking hours
Of course the dreams are not good ones
So I now dream of
The Great Escape
I take a trip to anywhere but here
No phones, or computers
Finding their way to me
I no longer have to daydream
for my wish has finally come true
I’m in a paradise all my own
Hot summer sun messaging my back
Sitting in a sauna thinking of anything but work
Knowing for a time
I answer to no one but myself
This is one great escape
Being here with you
