There is an angel on my shoulder

She tells me that all is OK

I’m hurting deep inside

With choices to be made

I thought I knew where I was going

How things would end up

But my road to happiness isn’t now so certain

I have much to reconsider

But with an angel on my shoulder

I know I have a chance

A chance to still know happiness

The way I hoped it would be

I have to keep an open mind

Remembering all that I have

Remembering all that I’ve worked for

I know there still time to find my way back

Even if I have to change course

I still come out OK

I owe much thanks to the angel on my shoulder

For making me see

With my eyes wide open

There is still hope for you and me
