Today we all gathered at your favorite church
Friends and family near and far
All differences aside to be by your side
Tears filled every eye in the room
As the Father honored your life
And told you of your journey ahead
We returned to your family home
To further celebrate your life
I was glad to walk away with a pyramid of your ashes
I was glad to have time to meet others who loved you as I always will
I was glad to know I wasn’t alone in my grieving for you
Now we will carry on in remembrance of you
Keeping all promises to live our lives to the fullest
