You stand clenching to my cold hard hand
As I rest my head against my perfectly fitting pillow
I hear you begging for a final wish
Hoping for another chance to make things right
I no longer pray for someone to answer your cries
For I have no more fight left inside
I’m glad to lay here for an eternal while
As your life goes slowly by
I may forgive you some day
But you must remember what you’ve done to me
So that no one else kneels alongside
Someone they love
Begging for one last moment
