Dreams: My Partner in Crime©

I see you at night when I close my eyes
Your face is still glowing from when I said I love you
The smile still covers your face
You sit at your window looking at the sunset
Planning the day when we both say I do
The smile never leaving your face
Even once I’ve gone
The sun sets and the moon rises
You sit speechless gazing at the blue sky
You sit still yet dreaming of me
Your partner in crime
This is my life when we’re apart
Guilt crowds my heart knowing my part
Soon my darling we will no longer sit waiting
Our dreams will become reality
No longer will a dream be your partner in crime
Make room for me under the night sky
The next time you wake
I’ll be at your side
