I lay alone this dreary night
Thinking of what once was
Your tears upon my people
Your sorrow spilled against my ear
The lies you told me to save your skin
The moments you stole from our children
The food missing from our table
All these things we remember
As we mourn your now permanent absence
You left us here above ground
As you are now tucked in down below
Our only visits now
Are to a stone engraved with our
Undying love
Despite your infidelity
And your true marriage to a bottle
That blackened your liver
And stole your soul
But nonetheless
We love you endlessly
